Stibbles Codex of Companions Makes the Familiar Extraordinary

Hello humble traveler and thanks for stopping by. Allow me to introduce you to an awesome project being created by some great people including Lead Designer Logan Reese, the YouTuber behind the Runesmith channel. Stibbles Codex of Companions is more than just a 5th Edition supplement book providing unique animal companions, familiars and pets along with new ways to use them at your table. There are some other great options as well, but to get into all of that you will have to keep reading.

Dragon Stew 5E D&D cooking

Dragon Stew is the Perfect Recipe for Cooking in 5E D&D

I suppose you could say I’m a foodie. I love trying new cuisine and flavors. Helping my girlfriend, a national food publication editor, in the kitchen is a lot of fun and I frequently make cooking analogies to help explain lots of things. So when I saw an announcement for Dragon Stew: a 5th Edition Cooking Supplemental I started counting the days until the Kickstarter went live. No joke! You can check out the tweet for yourself. I wasn’t the only one looking forward to Dragon Stew with great anticipation either. The project funded in 45 minutes and it’s nearly 500% funded at the moment. Any time I see new content for 5E D&D with unusual twists like this I become very intrigued and with cooking and culinary skills taking the forefront in this project I am absolutely thrilled. So let’s get into it and see what Dragon Stew brings to the table when it comes to cooking in 5E D&D.

Ultimate Guide to Alchemy, Crafting & Enchanting — What it Says On the Tin from Nord Games

Our friends at Nord Games launched a new Kickstarter today and judging by the response so far it’s clear fans of fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons are picking up what they’re putting down. The Ultimate Guide to Alchemy, Crafting & Enchanting for 5E delves into an area of the game players love to explore with a brand new game mechanic for creating items, potions, and magical goods. The project checks all the boxes I look for in snazzy new content for my games, and if you’re wondering why you should back the Ultimate Guide to Alchemy, Crafting & Enchanting for 5E Nord Games includes a wonderful sidebar to help you decide too.

Hero Forge 2.0 Full Color Explosion — No More Unpainted Minis

That is right. You read it correctly. No More Unpainted Minis. Hero Forge has been the leader in customized 3D miniature printing for quite some time. Their current Full-Color Custom Miniatures with Hero Forge 2.0 Kickstarter takes a leap forward by printing full-color custom tabletop miniatures. The amount of color detail they are able to achieve is off the charts. I was lucky enough to be sent a prototype of one of their full-color custom tabletop miniatures and when I first looked at it I thought it was professionally painted. The Kickstarter is now live and when I look at the page I am just blown away.

Monsters of the City Cawood 5E D&D

Monsters of the City for 5E RPG is Live!

We all love monsters, right? So many gamers cite books like the Monster Manual as their entry into the tabletop roleplaying game hobby. Evocative art, fantastical creatures and the rich lore accompanying them led many nerds to discover Dungeons & Dragons. All of those elements leap out in the work of Cawood Publishing, an RPG publisher with more than 25 bestsellers of Fifth Edition content. Perhaps the most recognizable of these books is the Monsters series that began with Monsters of Feyland, followed up with Monsters of the Underworld. Both of those books are terrific, and show really wonderful growth. Monsters of Feyland is remarkable, and Monsters of the Underworld builds on the solid foundation presenting even richer material in what is essentially a monster book. And now the third book in the series is live on Kickstarter! I cannot wait to see what Monsters of the City adds to my 5E D&D games.

Dungeon Draw Kickstarter RPG cards

Your Custom Card Deck Helps Dungeon Draw Build a Creator Community and Marketplace

I’ve been watching the promotional video and pouring over the details for the Dungeon Draw | RPG Cards Kickstarter. My mind reels with the possibilities. Cards have long been my favorite kind of accessory for tabletop roleplaying games. Many of my favorite types of games are card based in general. Curating a deck of cards to enhance your own RPG campaigns sounded pretty cool. Custom cards, even better. Creating your own RPG cards whole cloth, now we’re getting somewhere. Becoming part of a creator community and marketplace for designing and sharing your custom cards, decks and artwork for others? You really are cooking up a little scheme here, aren’t you Dungeon Draw?

Nerdarchy the Convention

Nerdarchy the Convention is the Ultimate Way to Stay Nerdy

Have you been keeping up with Out of the Box: Encounters for 5th Edition? We experienced phenomenal success with our first Kickstarter, and because of that we were able to grow as an entity in so many ways. Not the least of these is hiring me as a full-time Nerdarchy content director, at least in my opinion! We’re incredibly excited about the book we’re putting together. Seeing all the extraordinary art being created to bring all 55 encounters to vivid life on the pages, the evocative maps and all the bells and whistles like custom Nerdarchy dice really make us proud of this project and we cannot wait to get these things into your hands and on your gaming tables. But we’d be lying if we didn’t say we’re overjoyed about our ultimate stretch goal — Nerdarchy the Convention!

Free Kobold Encounter Takes Your D&D Adventure Out of the Box

A couple of months ago, Nerdarchy launched our very first Kickstarter — Out of the Box: Encounters for 5th Edition. The community support and encouragement blew us away! Everyone on the team is super proud of the campaign and even more excited to get the final product into the hands of the 4,057 backers who pledged $256,734 to help bring this project to life. Since the Kickstarter campaign ended, we’ve received a lot of requests for another chance to support Out of the Box and get a copy from those who missed the opportunity to back while it was live. But fear not! Through the Pledge Manager those folks will have a chance to preorder the content and existing backers can add on to their initial pledge. So in classic Nerdarchy fashion, we decided to create even more stuff and give it away for free to celebrate.

Weigh Anchor for A Complete Guide to Nautical Campaigns

Vehicles and the sorts of exotic adventures featuring them are a big draw for tabletop roleplaying game campaigns. Nerdarchy friend and host of How to be a Great Game Master Guy Sclanders is no stranger to running epic campaigns on the high seas, in the skies or across the blasted landscape of Avernus, and he’s sharing that expertise with A Complete Guide to Nautical Campaigns. The Kickstarter is currently live and by the looks of it by the time I’m done writing this post it will more than likely be funded. Check it out here and navigate your way to the pledge level that works best for you.

Treasures Await! Adventurers: Choose Your Own Reward

Longtime visitors here to Nerdarchy the Website may remember the very first Out of the Box encounter posted right here about three and a half years ago. Mike Gould, the writer, remains an invaluable resource for the Nerdarchy community and we were so excited to launch our very first Kickstarter with Mike’s work in the spotlight. We set out to make a hardcover book of our own, and because of the support and encouragement from the RPG community we do so much more. We met all our stretch goals, including several that evolved because of the Kickstarter’s remarkable fundraising. And now the Out of the Box Pledge Manager is live, so backers can complete their surveys and anyone who missed the Kickstarter can make late pledges. This is a perfect opportunity to get your copy of the Out of the Box book, our entire digital library and more at special pricing — not to mention badges for Nerdarchy the Convention in 2020.

D&D cursed magic items cursed collective kickstarter

Cursed Magic Items Get Top Billing in Cursed Collective Kickstarter

There’s only so many cursed magic items to tempt and torment characters with in our fantasy roleplaying games. Game Masters can have a lot of fun seeding our campaign settings with powerful magic for the heroes that come with a price. For those GMs who enjoy presenting players with a little risk vs. reward treasure — or just straight up risky magic items — Cursed Collective is a Kickstarter campaign promising over 50 new unique and creative cursed items suitable for all your tabletop roleplaying game campaigns.

Immortalize your D&D Adventure Stories with Campaign Medals from Ancient Lair

Fifth edition characters do some pretty heroic stuff. Or at least extraordinary, for good or ill. In the course of a campaign, a party of adventurers is likely to do at least one thing worthy of being awarded a medal. Unless you’re Chewbacca. What’s a wookie gotta do to get a medal if helping blow up the Death Star and save the Rebellion doesn’t cut it? Ancient Lair has a Kickstarter going on right now with an awesome way to commemorate the deeds of 5E heroes. Campaign Medals: Collectable medals for your RPG adventures is creating metal and resin displayable medals for your RPG group inspired by D&D 5E adventure modules. But even if you’re not into the cool rewards you and your group can share as mementos of your mighty triumphs, you can get yourself a medal with a display box and a neat PDF with new stuff to add to your game inspired by the medals themselves.
