Play Your Next 5E D&D Game as a Goblin Bomber

Over at Nerdarchy the YouTube channel when Nerdarchists Dave and Ted pay back the explosives enthusiast who’s faithfully served as our company mascot for nearly seven years with their own bona fide fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons character build. The Goblin Bomber 5E D&D Character Build Guide takes their craft all the way and becomes a volatile presence in any battle. There’s also a really fun connection with another very popular project of ours. Let’s get into it.

Play Your Next 5E D&D Game as a Nature Possessed Warforged

Over at Nerdarchy the YouTube channel when Nerdarchists Dave and Ted tackle our first Eberron fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons character build. Back in 2018 we welcomed Eberron into the 5E D&D space, which included a fan favorite playable race in the warforged. This allowed us to step into Eberron and make the fantastic and fun Nature Possessed Warforged Character Build Guide using a race and a background specific to that wonderful world. Let’s get into it.

11 Huge Threats Posed by Huge Monsters of 5E D&D

I’ve been following up a post about the chonkiest bois in fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons with a look at standout monsters from each size category. Huge creatures follow in the footsteps of the smaller 8 Large and in Charge Monsters of 5E D&D. The top of the size category food chain looms but before reaching those heights there’s a lot of amazing Huge size monsters to consider. Let’s get into it.

Ideas on Running Multiple 5E D&D Campaigns in One World – At the Same Time

Ashes of Ardor is the fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons campaign I’ve been running on Nerdarchy Live every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET. Meanwhile Quill & Sword is a 5E D&D campaign I run every other Thursday night during the same time slot on my Twitch channel. Both campaigns take place in my dark fantasy world of Aulmn. Two campaigns, one world setting — infinite possibilities. As Ashes of Ardor comes to a close I want to share some of what I learned running two campaigns in the same world simultaneously. Whether you’re running a premade setting like Eberron, Wildemount or the iconic Forgotten Realms these tips should help with keeping things smooth and copacetic. Fair warning: there be spoilers ahead for both Ashes of Ardor and Quill & Sword.

D&D Ideas — Class

Welcome once again to the weekly newsletter. This week’s topic is the classes, which we discussed in our weekly live chat. We hangout every Monday evening at 8 p.m. EST on Nerdarchy Live to talk about D&D, RPGs, gaming, life and whatever nerdy stuff comes up. Speaking of classes we put together a guide for all the Fifth Edition subclasses we’ve created over the years as part of a FREE bundle. The perfect character for your next game may just be revealed inside! You can get the Nerdarchy Newsletter delivered to your inbox each week, along with updates and info on how to game with Nerdarchy plus snag a FREE GIFT by signing up here.

Top 10 5E D&D Homebrew Magic Items by a Factor of Three — Staffs

There’s so much homebrew content for fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons found at D&D Beyond! Tens of thousands of entries include spells, races, subclasses, monsters, magic items and pretty much everything you’d expect. We’ve even got a presence over there in what I believe is the only third party creator to achieve. (I do totally mean to toot our own horn 100%) In videos and posts we’ve looked at all the schools of magic, subclasses for each class individually, feats, monsters, races and a variety of other categorizations of 5E D&D content. Now I’m onto magic items and already explored the homebrew armorpotionsringsrods and scrolls so now it’s time to take up a trusty staff. There’s enough of the over 8,704 homebrew magic staffs at DDB to include something for any character so let’s get into it.

Play Your Next 5E D&D Game as a Quick Striker

Over at Nerdarchy the YouTube channel when Nerdarchists Dave and Ted absolutely, positively must go first in any fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons confrontation, accept no substitute. This 5E D&D Quick Strike Character Build Guide presents a character who gets a bonus to their initiative from not only Dexterity but also Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma, plus Jack of All Trades and Reliable Talent. Let’s get into it.

Dissecting the 5E D&D Fiend Creature Type

Salutations, nerds! I’m back with the next fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons creature type by unassailable right of alphabetical order. Fiends! Do you want to make some fiends? I want to make some fiends. Well, at the very least analyze these 5E D&D creatures. I’m focusing on devils, demons and the lesser known but no less cool yugoloths.

Add Volume and Variety When You Enhance Style with Beardomancy for 5E D&D

Over at Nerdarchy Live we’re about to wrap up our current campaign playing Ashes of Ardor with fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons. For this one our group decided we’d all play subclasses from our own collection of content. For me there was no question I’d play something related to Beardomancy. Among the 12 options we’ve got (one for each of the core 5E D&D classes) the decision was tough. I settled on the Shaggy Soul Sorcerous Origin. Commanding beardomantic magic is every bit as fun and thrilling as I imagined but I do have a few ideas to tweak things, especially one particular spell I use very often. Let’s get into it.

Unleash the Terrors of the Nightmare Realms with Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft Minis

The end of the year approaches and with it the holiday season so it’s completely natural to begin thinking about the Ravenloft’s iconic supernatural specialist and the Domains of Dread, no? Oh well, it seems you are here anyway and I am going to share some ideas inspired by the great monster entries available in Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft.
