Kickstarter Korner for June 2018, Week 3

Building a D&D Character Soup to Nuts From Farmer to Folk Hero
The Nosey Tavern Owner – Top 5 D&D Things I Saw Today

Each week during the Quests & Adventures live chat, Saturday at 2 p.m. eastern, Nerdarchists Dave and Ted and Nate the Nerdarch hang out live with fans from the Nerdarchy YouTube channel. It’s a chance to share announcements and news, answer questions from the live chat and generally just hang out and talk nerdy with the Nerdarchy community.

In the description of each weekly video, Nerdarchist Ted compiles a list and links to all the videos and website content from the week. But he also shares a selection of cool Kickstarter campaigns. As an avid Kickstarter supporter, he’s happy to share his favorite RPG and gaming-related Kickstarters with you, the Nerdarchy community. Enjoy!

Gaming and other nerdy conventions are terrific events. They are opportunities to play lots of games, pick up tons of cool swag and most importantly, spend time with friends new and old. Thanks to the internet and online gaming, lots of us get to meet and game with folks all over the world on the regular, expanding our gaming horizons through new games and playstyles, building great memories and sharing experiences together.

The relationships we build online are even cooler when we can meet up in person at conventions. At Origins 2017, Nerdarchist Dave and Nerditor Doug (then just Assistant Web Editor Doug) met in person for the first time and had a blast. Meeting fellow creators they admired like Dan Dillon, Aaron Hubrich, Robert Adducci, Ruty Rutenberg and Satine Phoenix; chatting with Chris Lindsey; hanging out with Seth Polansky and Kelley Slagle; playing lots of games and snagging lots of cool products was awesome.

Everyone on the Nerdarchy crew definitely encourages y’all to get out there and visit some gaming conventions. Whether they’re big ones like Origins and Gen Con or smaller local events like our trip as special guests to Cleveland ConCoction, the time is more than well spent. You can try new games, run games for new friends, and generally celebrate the nerd culture we all love.

There’s several resources online to help you discover conventions. Here’s a few to guide you:
