Play Your Next 5E D&D Game as an Extreme Adventurer

Over at Nerdarchy the YouTube channel Nerdarchists Dave and Ted get totally stoked about a fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons character all about exploring bigger and better dungeons that others haven’t conquered yet. The Extreme Adventurer might be one of our more tongue-in-cheek 5E D&D character builds. Think Indiana Jones meets American Ninja Warrior contestant. Let’s get into it.

D&D Ideas — Oozes, Slimes and Jellies

Welcome once again to the weekly newsletter. This week’s topic is oozes, slimes and jellies, which we discussed in our weekly live chat. We hangout every Monday evening at 8 p.m. EST on Nerdarchy Live to talk about D&D, RPGs, gaming, life and whatever nerdy stuff comes up. Speaking of oozes, slimes and jellies what if a normally nonspellcasting creature had access to a spell or spell like effect and creates a mystical shell game with one ooze and one item? You can get the Nerdarchy Newsletter delivered to your inbox each week, along with updates and info on how to game with Nerdarchy plus snag a FREE GIFT by signing up here.

Crazy RPG Antics and Great Charisma on Display with The General Adventuring Company

Sometime ago Nerdarchist Dave interviewed a few members of The General Adventuring Company. Either I failed a Wisdom saving throw or they collectively passed a Charisma (Persuasion) check. However it happened, after Critical Role finished their second campaign I had an open game slot to watch. While I did watch Exandria Unlimited I still had more hours in my week to fill.

Play Your Next 5E D&D Game as a Master Thinker

Over at Nerdarchy the YouTube channel Nerdarchists Dave and Ted bend their mental energies towards coming up with a fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons character capable of outthinking, outwitting and out-and-out outclassing others in mental matters. Strength, Dexterity, Consitution: A Master Thinker craves not these things. For this 5E D&D character it’s all about Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma. Let’s get into it.

D&D Ideas — Apocalypse

We hangout every Monday evening at 8 p.m. EST on Nerdarchy Live to talk about D&D, RPGs, gaming, life and whatever nerdy stuff comes up. Speaking of apocalypse in Dark Paths: The Chained One a secretive order of monks loses control of the mystical chains binding a terrible being of malediction and if things aren’t set aright can apocalypse be far behind? You can get the Nerdarchy Newsletter delivered to your inbox each week, along with updates and info on how to game with Nerdarchy plus snag a FREE GIFT by signing up here.

We hangout every Monday evening at 8 p.m. EST on Nerdarchy Live to talk about D&D, RPGs, gaming, life and whatever nerdy stuff comes up. Speaking of force & psychic in Mirror, Mirror a forlorn Hearth Hope creature’s psychic feedback assaults the living with images of their own past failures while in Mirrors of the Soul a mystical force shifts adventurers between the real world and one of shadowy illusions… You can get the Nerdarchy Newsletter delivered to your inbox each week, along with updates and info on how to game with Nerdarchy plus snag a FREE GIFT by signing up here.

Quest RPG Adventure Guild

Quest RPG is Perfect for a Live Roleplay Stream and You’ll Never Guess Why

Recently on Nerdarchy Live we completed Ingest Quest 2, hosted by our own beloved Nerditor Doug. Quest RPG was the system powering our romp through culinary weird space and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit skeptical of this new system. However by the end of everything, I think Quest RPG is one of the best systems out there for running an entertaining game stream. Let’s explore some takeaways from the game and what Quest RPG does really well to make itself an ideal system for roleplay heavy groups and thus, conducive to a great stream game.

Play Your Next 5E D&D Game as a Rage Singer

Over at Nerdarchy the YouTube channel Nerdarchists Dave and Ted bang their heads together and come up with a barbarian and wizard combo for fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons with the Rage Singer character build. Metal health will drive you mad, after all. We want it louder, more power for a 5E D&D character who’s gonna rock it till it strikes the hour. Let’s get into it.

D&D Ideas — Radiant & Necrotic

Welcome once again to the weekly newsletter. This week’s topic is radiant & necrotic, which we discussed in our weekly live chat. We hangout every Monday evening at 8 p.m. EST on Nerdarchy Live to talk about D&D, RPGs, gaming, life and whatever nerdy stuff comes up. Speaking of radiant & necrotic the two are often intertwined and closely related as opposing forces of spiritual life and undeath. Play Your Next 5E D&D Game as a Combat Medic

Over at Nerdarchy the YouTube channel Nerdarchists Dave and Ted fulfilled a request to come up with the ultimate healer for fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons with the Combat Medic character build. Pointing the Patreon supporter who sent the request towards a 20th level Life Domain cleric seemed a bit boring so they spiced things up for the 5E D&D Combat Medic, which went on to become a silver best seller. Let’s get into it.

D&D Ideas — Acid

Welcome once again to the weekly newsletter. This week’s topic is acid, which we discussed in our weekly live chat. We hangout every Monday evening at 8 p.m. EST on Nerdarchy Live to talk about D&D, RPGs, gaming, life and whatever nerdy stuff comes up. Speaking of acid in Balance an innocent sprite’s existence literally hangs in the balance from a sadistic trap. Quest RPG Adventure Guild

Embracing the Core Principle of Quest RPG Makes a Guide’s Life Fun, Rewarding and Easy

Over at Nerdarchy the YouTube channel Nerdarchists Dave and Ted share their experience and a general overview of playing Quest RPG. I fell in love with this whimsical RPG a while back and when my turn in the hot seat came around on our Tuesday night games at Nerdarchy Live I couldn’t wait to Guide the group through creating a story with Quest RPG. In the video the guys discuss their impression of the game from the player side of things and mention their curiosity about the nuance of being the Guide — Quest’s iteration of a Game Master. I’m the Guide for the group in which they play and as a follow up to the initial thoughts I shared after first discovering this wonderful RPG I aim to do so right now. Let’s get into it.

Play Your Next 5E D&D Game as a Spell Savant

Over at Nerdarchy the YouTube channel Nerdarchists Dave and Ted took on a request to create the ultimate cantrip master for fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons as the Spell Savant character build. The concept behind this 5E D&D character build is getting as many cantrips as possible without just simply multiclassing into every spellcasting class — bard, cleric, druid, sorcerer, warlock and wizard — plus acquiring as much variety as possible in damage types and effects. Let’s get into it.

mtg adventures in the forgotten realms werewolf pack leader

Play Your Next 5E D&D Game as a Pack Master

Over at Nerdarchy the YouTube channel Nerdarchists Dave and Ted sink their teeth into a fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons Pack Master character build. The inspiration for this character comes by way of The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. More specifically a passage from the book that reads, “For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.” This 5E D&D character is all about establishing a powerful connection with wolves whether through communication, summoning or straight up becoming a wolf themselves! Let’s get into it.
