Kickstarter Korner for July 2018, Week 5

Wizard Willy's Wily Weasels - Beyond Bandits in D&D
Metagaming as a Tool for Creating Tension in D&D

Each week during the Quests & Adventures live chat, Saturday at 2 p.m. eastern, Nerdarchists Dave and Ted and Nate the Nerdarch hang out live with fans from the Nerdarchy YouTube channel. It’s a chance to share announcements and news, answer questions from the live chat and generally just hang out and talk nerdy with the Nerdarchy community.

In the description of each weekly video, Nerdarchist Ted compiles a list and links to all the videos and website content from the week. But he also shares a selection of cool Kickstarter campaigns. As an avid Kickstarter supporter, he’s happy to share his favorite RPG and gaming-related Kickstarters with you, the Nerdarchy community. Enjoy!

Protip: Come and say hello! If you’re heading to Indianapolis next week for Gen Con, Aug. 2-5, keep an eye out for Nerdarchists Dave and Ted, Nerditor Doug and Intern Jake. The Nerdarchy crew will be roaming the Indiana Convention Center halls, surrounding hotels and Lucas Oil Stadium celebrating the Best Four Day in Gaming alongside tens of thousands of other nerds from around the world. Whether we’re special guests at an event like D&D in a Castle, Gamehole Con or ConCoction or attending for fun like we’re doing at Gen Con 2018, we’re always happy to connect with fans. We also have a penchant for running impromptu games of D&D, so it’s never a bad idea to have funny-shaped dice and your imagination ready to go any time.

Conventions are so much fun. One of our favorite things about them is getting to meet in person the people we interact with online. Meeting up with industry friends or folks from the Nerdarchy community is great, plus they’re opportunities to make new friends and share the mutual love of this awesome hobby. A gathering of gamers, cosplayers, creators and cool people all in one place like this is exhilarating!

The Nerdarchy crew can’t wait to roll into Indy and soak in the incredible Gen Con experience. There’s so much to do and see, and we’d love it if part of that experience is you, so if you spot any of us please come say hi (and maybe challenge Nerdarchist Ted to a duel because he’s a swordmaster). Above all else, if you’re at Gen Con or not, have fun playing games and creating memories with each other and of course, stay nerdy!
