D&D Direct Announces WizKids Spelljammer Figurines Including Gargantuan Astral Dreadnought

When I saw the D&D Direct press kit for the first time the astounding variety of folders no doubt containing awesome 5E D&D content barely registered because not far from the top of the list Spelljammer snatched my attention right away. Now this is how you confirm some Spelljammer.

Chris Perkins, D&D Studio game design architect and Trystan Falcone, D&D Studio graphic designer sucked me in immediately with the announcement video. Perkins is the project lead for Spelljammer: Adventures in Space and brings the very bestest D&D campaign setting ever to 5E D&D. I’m really excited to see Trystan involved with this project too since they brought their A game to The C Team, an actual play campaign I consider one of the best around. This all bodes well.

Spelljammer: Adventures in Space is a collection of three books. Astral Adventurer’s Guide, Boo’s Astral Menagerie and an adventure called Light of Xaryxis come packaged together in a collection with a special Dungeon Master’s screen. In another announcement from D&D’s partnership with WizKids there’s a whole bunch of awesome Spelljammer miniatures on the way too including spelljamming vessels like the classic elven man-o-war. And there’s a Gargantuan Astral Dreadnaught too. Find out more about those minis here.
