Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition Optional Warforged Builds

Multi-Classing in Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, Should I or Shouldn't I?
Dungeons and Dragons Player Tips - Playing Your Flaws

warforgedMost people I have spoken with feel that the warforged presented in the Unearthed Arcana: Eberron is lacking.  So you can choose of of these options with your Dungeon masters approval of course.   I think  each of these grants a little extra flavor to the race and balances them  nicely in comparison to the other races  in the players handbook.  A big thank you to Art Wood for coming up with these for us.

Optional Warforged Types…

Mithral Body (Warforged Only): Your body is composed of Mithral plating and wood Making them light and agile. You gain +1 to your Dexterity.

Adamantine Body (Warforged Only): Your body is composed of Adamantine plates and Dark Wood. Your heavy body grants you dungeons & dragonsImmunity to Critical Hits and you have disadvantage on Stealth rolls due to your extreme weight and bulkiness.

Dark Wood Body (Warforged Only): Your body is composed completely of Dark Wood, granting you the ability to now take levels in the Druid class. NOTE: Without this feat Warforged can NOT take levels in the Druid class due to their metal bodies.

Crystal Body (Warforged Only): Your body houses living crystals that protrude from your plates and joints. You gain +1 additional Psychic (Psi) point and Psi Point Maximum per level of Mystic character class taken Due to the fragile nature of crystal you lose your +1 natural armor bonus to Armor Class.

So please share your opinions about these extra racial options with us as well as any cool Dungeons & Dragons Warforged stories either in the comments below or over on our fourm.

And as we always say: Until Next Time Stay Nerdy!

I personally think Dark Wood needs more of a feature to it since no other race gets a class restriction (which is quite a big thing), so a choice just allowing them to do something every other race can do is not a great feature.
Instead of gaining anything it basically feels like the playing field was leveled.
