Nerdarchy on D&D Warlock: 5 Best Combat Invocations

Nerdarchy on Dragonlance 5e: Heroes of Krynn Revisited Unearthed Arcana Review
Nerdarchy on Powered by the Apocalypse Hack for Zoo Mafia RPG Design Diary #4

In this 9-minute video on Nerdarchy the YouTube channel Nerdarchists Dave and Ted look at Eldritch Invocations for the 5E D&D warlock and give their top five picks for combat.

In the video they discuss Eldritch Invocations broadly and establish how out of the 54 current official options identify 27 they consider combat related. A handful took some deeper thought and they share their insight into why they were on the fence about those particular options.

The conversation proceeds to cover the five Eldritch Invocations selected as the best all around options for 5E D&D warlocks as they pertain to combat. It’s worth mentioning there is a misstep in the video, which viewers pointed out in the comments. After watching the video can you spot the Eldritch Invocation that’s not like the others? Hint: it’s related to the parameters they established early in the discussion.

Nerdarchy creates modules and content for your games including quite a few new Otherworldly Patrons. But only one of those boasts their own special Eldritch Invocations (they’re in the linked post above). The Norn are weavers of fate who hold the threads of destiny between their fingers and bestow powers to warlocks to ensure these threads remain unchanged. You can find The Norn along with new playable races, another Otherworldly Patron, new creatures, magic items, vehicles and an adventure inside Frost King.
