Nerdarchy on D&D Logic 5 Things That Makes No Sense

Surprise, Delight and Horrify Adventurers with These Tome of Beasts 3 EXCLUSIVE Monster Previews
Prepare for the Gith Invasion of Your 5E D&D World

In this 19-minute video on Nerdarchy the YouTube channel Nerdarchists Dave and Ted explore some Dungeons & Dragons logic that doesn’t seem logical. They draw upon their experience throughout the editions of D&D in this discussion.

In the video they take a closer look at the mystery of time when it comes to combat, travel and the concept of a round to get things started. Damage, healing and long rests get scrutinized followed up by a way to make the impossible possible. Falling damage gets put under the microscope, which encompasses the concept of hit points as an abstraction and the scope of 5E D&D for higher level characters in general. Lastly they discuss how Strength manifests in 5E D&D, which seems to indicate the creatures living in the D&D multiverse are way, way, way stronger than humans and everything else we’re familiar with here in the real world.

The last topic in particular is something we’ve had a fun time exploring before. In another post we figure out just how strong a 5E D&D character can get. (This character can tote around over 7 tons, at least in short intervals, and move around over 14 tons!). We also put together a guide for playing a Muscle Wizard, which you may get a kick out of for your next game. You can find there right here.
