Nerdarchy on D&D Campaigns Made Creepier by Real Life
In this 18-minute video on Nerdarchy the YouTube channel Nerdarchists Dave and Ted take inspiration from real life to come up with some creepy D&D campaign ideas and plots.
The conversation begins with Dave and Ted explaining this video’s inspiration. In the video they share a brief clip from a news item about a strange occurrence in Texas wherein a variety of different dolls washed up on beaches covered in barnacles and other growth from the sea. A Dungeon Master can find great fodder for a D&D adventure or campaign anywhere and this was no exception.
The stuff of nightmares is reality for researchers in Texas who survey the coasts for sea life and recently found themselves staring down at creepy dolls with barnacles for eyes. Dozens of these creepy dolls have been washing up on the shores of Texas along a 40-mile stretch of beach.
In the video Dave and Ted pitch several different ideas for adventures inspired by this phenomenon.
