In this 8-minute video on Nerdarchy the YouTube channel Nerdarchists Dave and Ted explore druids in fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons, specifically the Druid Circle of the Moon in 5E D&D and the best feats for them.

The conversation begins with Dave and Ted explaining what makes a Circle of the Moon druid distinct in 5E D&D. This is the druid subclass focused entirely on the Wild Shape feature, which means feat selection brings an added consideration. Choosing a feat over an ability score increase can be a tough decision and when a feat is selected the question becomes which one?

Because of Circle of the Moon druids’ specialty choosing a feat you can use while in a Wild Shape form makes a big difference. Thankfully there’s a lot of options to choose from even with this added consideration. This means no two Wild Shaping druids will be the same out there. Something as simple as a feat choice adds a unique twist to a character.

Feats offering an ability score increase and another beneficial effect hold great appeal. But the top priority in picking five feats making the most of Wild Shape came down to effects that make the Wild Shape form better in some significant way. Not the least of these is communication and one of the feats provides a path to overcome this along with an ability score bump and a third very nifty benefit. No doubt why this one made the list.

What are your top picks for feats for Circle of the Moon druids in 5E D&D? Do you know any cool interactions you’ve discovered? Got any interesting experiences to share from times your feat choices made a big impact in your games? Let us know in the comments and as always, stay nerdy!

Circle of Locks druids are versed in poise and charm and know the appeal beautiful creatures have to even the wariest of travelers. Drawing inspiration from creatures like the siren and many denizens of the land of the fey, with a turn of their head and fall of their luxurious mane they know precisely the look to give to get the desired effect. This is one of the subclasses in Bad Hair Day, the follow up to our beloved Beardomancy module. Inside you’ll find themed subclasses for bards, druids, fighters, rangers and warlocks along with new magic items like the Gantuan Plushie of Fundrous Power along with new Beardomancy spells. Check it out here!
