Well met traveler of the internet,

adventurers guild

Nerdarchist Dave here with another weekly wrap blog post. This past week we’ve finally launch The Company of the N.A.G. It’s an idea we came up awhile ago.

Since December we’ve been running monthly games with the fans. The Krinch that Stole Father’s Winters Day, Night Terrors, Maze of Mandoon, Enter the Crawl Wood, and we’ve got our next game coming the end of this month April 24th.

We’ve been setting these games up via e-mail. At times we’ve had an issue with connecting with players for these games even though we are drawing from over 500 names. The solution a Facebook group that we could pull people from last minute if need be.

We still only really want people in there that have gone through all the steps to game with us. It’s only fair. In case you are wondering what that process is, there is literally three steps to gaming with Nerdarchy.

  1. Sign up for Nerdarchy the Newsletter
  2. Confirm your e-mail address for the newsletter (Sign Up Form in the Side Bar)
  3. Sign up for Nerdarchy the Adventure’s Guild from the welcome e-mail sent from the newsletter

Easy as pie. Some of that process is just us staying compliant with canned spam laws. Like the confirmation of your e-mail address. It also keeps someone from adding someone elses e-mail to our newsletter list. We only want people there that want to be there.

How the NAG works. Once someone has signed up to be part of the Adventurer’s Guild they will get another welcome e-mail explaining how we do our monthly 5th Dungeons and Dragons game as well as a link to our closed Facebook group Company of the N.A.G.

If we can’t get a full virtual table through e-mail we will resort the N.A.G.

Adventurer’s Guild Inspired Story of The NAG

More than 25% of the people who have signed up to be part of the Adventurer’s Guild have joined the group so far. The really cool thing is the great discussions that have begun already.

Now we understand some folks don’t have any interest in social media and this isn’t for them. They will still be able to get into our games with just their e-mails.

My name is Dave Friant I've been gaming off and on for over 27 years. But here is the thing it's always been a part of my life I've kept secret and hidden away. I've always been ashamed of the stigma that gaming and my other nerdy and geeky pursuits summon forth. Recently I decided screw it! This is who I am the world be damned. From now on I'm gonna be a geek, nerd, or however folks want to judge me and just enjoy life. Currently one of my greatest joys is introducing my 13 yr old son to table top RPG's.
