Kickstarter Korner for September 2018, Week 3

Methods of Choosing Your 5E D&D Character Race
Play Your Next 5E D&D Game in the Deck of Many Things Magic Item Campaign

Each week during the Quests & Adventures live chat, Saturday at 2 p.m. eastern, Nerdarchists Dave and Ted and Nate the Nerdarch hang out live with fans from the Nerdarchy YouTube channel. It’s a chance to share announcements and news, answer questions from the live chat and generally just hang out and talk nerdy with the Nerdarchy community.

In the description of each weekly video, Nerdarchist Ted compiles a list and links to all the videos and website content from the week. But he also shares a selection of cool Kickstarter campaigns. As an avid Kickstarter supporter, he’s happy to share his favorite RPG and gaming-related Kickstarters with you, the Nerdarchy community. Enjoy!

RPG Related Kickstarters

Protip: Normally I use this section of our weekly Kickstarter Korner for a bit of editorializing, with an eye towards sharing an insight or tip you can apply to your roleplaying game experiences, everyday life, or both. But this week I’m going to flip things around and ask for your input.

The Nerdarchy crew does our best every day to create fresh, useful content whether it’s over on the YouTube channel, here on the site, for Patreon supporters, in the Nerdarchy store, or through our latest venture into the Dungeon Master’s Guild. It’s not an exaggeration to say we are always thinking about ways to make the time your spend with us better.

As the content manager here on the site and for Nerdarchy’s products (including the Kickstarter we’re putting together!) I want to provide the very best content for y’all whether it’s a post published here, a character or encounter guide, new stuff for your games or whatever. If I’m honest, my heart lies with Dungeons & Dragons, and a lot of the stuff we do is D&D related. It’s certainly my favorite RPG by far and the one I know the most about.

Whether you’re a longtime reader of the Nerdarchy site or this is your first time here, I’d love to know what sort of stuff you enjoy the most. Do you have a favorite post? Is there anything you found here that you used in your games and really like? Do you look to Nerdarchy for news on RPGs, or prefer more creative stuff like new mechanics, or tips for Game Masters and players? Are product reviews helpful? Do you like our longer posts or would you rather see posts with a bit more brevity?

One of the things we’ve been focused on lately is building a closer connection between the website and YouTube channel, with posts expanding on the discussions in Nerdarchy videos. Almost all of the products we create start in a video, and get developed from there through posts and Patreon interactions. That’s one area we’re looking at changing up a bit, to give Patreon supporters early access and playtesting material while we work on new things like a book of good-aligned monsters for Dungeons & Dragons slated next on our product release schedule.

I’d love to read in the comments what your experience has been like here on the website, what you like and don’t like, what you want to see more of as well as what doesn’t interest you at all. It would be a huge help to hear your thoughts!

Thanks for reading and, of course, stay nerdy!

Did you enjoy this post? Nerdarchy’s awesome volunteer staff of writers and editors do their best to create engaging, useful and fun content to share. If you like what you find here on our site, consider patronizing us in a good way through Patreon.

On top of reaching our goal of paying our writers, pledging gets you exclusive monthly content for your D&D game, opportunities to game with Nerdarchy, access to patron-only channels on our Discord and more.

With your generous support we’ll continue to create quality content between our YouTube channel and blog, invest in equipment to increase recording quality, and keep creating original publications and products to enhance your tabletop roleplaying and gaming experience.

Thank you for your consideration and as always, until next time stay nerdy!
