Ecology of the Golden Chimera – Dungeons and Dragons Monsters

Creation of the Golden Chimera - Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition
The Dam in West Rustoch - Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition

Dungeons and DragonsLast week I talked about the creation of the Golden Chimera.  While the chimera is built as a monster of Demons combining all the worst of each of the component monsters, the olden Chimera actually combines the best of each of the creatures combining together.

As the Demon Prince created the regular chimera a powerful Solar, perhaps the first,  created a creature in its image to be a positive force on the world below, but powerful enough to defend itself and its kind.

As the dragon half of the regular strives to raid and plunder the Golden Chimera craves its wealth but usually through trade and service and is interested in acquiring knowledge above actual material possessions.

Golden Chimera in Dungeons and Dragons

As the lion head normally strives to hunt and kill, this one actually cares about pride and confidence.  Not so much that it goes to an egotistical point but enough the confidence exudes from this creature.  You can sense its assurance in every step.

While the goat head is stubborn, the eagle head which replaces it actually unifies the creature and gives it a sense of 5th Editionloyalty and patriotism.  While it does not actually serve any nation it does serve the gods and try to protect those in need.

The golden chimera is a servant of good but it does way its options making sure that it is taking the proper path.  As a being that lives on the prime plane and not with the gods it does not posses all of their wisdom, nor its future sight.

Dungeons and Dragons: Monsters

This chimera is a servant of knowledge and seeks to collect lost information.  If you posses interesting information or are seeking it making a deal with one of these majestic creatures just might be a path for you to walk.
