D&D Dark Alliance Explodes with Fantasy Action

Dungeons & Dragons fans who just can’t get enough fantasy action at the tabletop can satisfy their craving for thrilling combat on June 22 when Wizards of the Coast launches Dark Alliance. This explosive action roleplaying game builds on the deep lore of the Forgotten Realms for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One Consoles and Xbox Series X|S. Dark Alliance features real-time combat and dynamic co-op gameplay against iconic D&D monsters. The game is developed by Tuque Games, which WotC acquired in 2019.

Preorders for the Digital Edition of Dark Alliance start today for $39.99 at DarkAlliance.com or the standard edition and retail-exclusive Steelbook edition for $59.99 at select retailers. The latter includes a Steelbook case, printed art book, downloadable D&D soundtrack, Beholder and Lich weapon sets and the Echoes of the Blood War expansion. All Dark Alliance preorders come with an exclusive Beholder weapon set at launch.

Dark Alliance pits the infamous Drizzt Do’Urden and his legendary companions Catti-brie, Bruenor and Wulfgar against Frost Giants, Beholders and White Dragons who roam the frozen tundra of Icewind Dale in search of the Crystal Shard. These companions have to muster the strength to stop them from claiming the legendary artifact and destroying their home.

Four players can participate together online for dynamic co-op experiences fighting iconic D&D monsters in explosive real time combat with devastating combos and team up moves to conquer impossible challenges. Each of the four distinct heroes adds their unique playstyle along with customization options. Completing missions and defeating powerful boss monsters unlocks new character skills and gear.

PlayStation 4 users who purchase Dark Alliance get a free digital download code to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 and vice versa.
