Famous Wizards of Distinction — Backgrounds and Spells
Throughout the ages, in both myths and fantasies, there are many famous wizards and magic users who rise to a high level of distinction through their associations, actions, backgrounds, spells, and creations.
Gathered here is an ever expanding group of some of the Famous Wizards of Distinction. Listed below are the direct links with a short excerpt from the article.
Click on the links and there you will find information on their backgrounds as well as the spells of the magic user.
I will update this main article with the newest wizards to be added to the Hall of Distinction by placing them at the top of the group each time another wizard is added.
I have decided which wizards to add to the Hall but I would love some more input from my fellow nerdarchists. If you think that a wizard, sorceress, or general magic user belongs amongst the famous wizards of distinction let me know in the comments below
Enough explaining, onto the –
Hall of Distinction for Famous Wizards
Harry Dresden – “a special Halloween tribute to the birthday boy himself, Harry, a wizard of the White Council. For those of you who have never read The Dresden Files, don’t panic. I barely discuss anything from the first book so no worries, no spoilers.”
Bigby – “When I said Bigby was not the kind of guy to get his own hands dirty- I meant his physical hands. From force hands and ballista bolts to complex force engines of destruction, Bigby knows his way around forces.”
Drawmij – “Many of Drawmij’s choices and spells point to a man who has done a lot of adventuring and is still alive because when he gets into a tight spot he has the spells and know how to get himself removed from said spot while still breathing.”
Tenser – “While his attitude is of a Lawful Good extremist his spells speak of a man more of the Lawful Badass variety. Like a one man biker gang for Goodness and Truth, Tenser’s spells are mostly built towards spotting evil doers, chasing them , and then beating them down – one man army style.”
Otiluke – “He reminds me of the mad scientist archetype. A spatially minded siege alchemist of sorts who’s wisdom score reflects a child like level of understanding of consequences.”
Leomund – “While many people see wizards as the class of blasting and explosions they can also be a class that provides a lot of support, outside of the battlefield, by way of making an adventure’s life a bit easier. Leomund ‘s spells reflect a magic user interested in the latter.”
This is just the beginning of the mighty list of
Famous Wizards of Distinction as well as their backgrounds and the spells of the previous named magic users
Don’t forget to share this with like minded individuals.
Let me know, in the comments below, if their is any famous wizards you want to hear my take on and we will see about adding them to the Hall of Distinction.
Until next time, Stay Nerdy!
