Nerdarchy tears once more into the DMG of 5e to talk optional rules for 5th edition dungeons and dragons. I didn’t think I’d see this one but here it is- Spell Points.

It’s really nice that wizards of the coast put this one in here. Especially for the 5e D&D sorcerer this pretty awesome it completely fixes what I see as being the sorcerer’s problems in this edition of dungeons and dragons.

Things get a little complex when you start to add multi-class spell casting into the mix. So spell points what you guys think?

My name is Dave Friant I’ve been gaming off and on for over 27 years. But here is the thing it’s always been a part of my life I’ve kept secret and hidden away. I’ve always been ashamed of the stigma that gaming and my other nerdy and geeky pursuits summon forth.

Recently I decided screw it! This is who I am the world be damned. From now on I’m gonna be a geek, nerd, or however folks want to judge me and just enjoy life.

Currently one of my greatest joys is introducing my 13 yr old son to table top RPG’s.

    Great podcast!
I just managed to get a Madness of Baphomet bestowed upon my character. I rolled and my specific madness is: “The world is my hunting ground. Others are my prey.”
It happened just as the session ended. I am doing some preparation for the upcoming session and I did discuss with my DM about the approach. We agreed on a Patrick Bateman (American Psycho) type of madness. We really don’t want the other players to know straight away. The character will be slightly delusional, really having trouble with consciousness. The character I am playing is Neutrally aligned, but while under the Madness effect, he will act as Chaotic Evil. He does have a grudge on some fey creatures that the group is currently fighting, but I want him to start seeing regular folk as potential victims. He is in Shadowdale at the moment, so he might wonder the streets, perhaps slums, looking for weak people to prey upon, just as a predator would.
If you guys have any tips on how to play out this specific madness, I would be really grateful.
