Longtime visitors here to Nerdarchy the Website may remember the very first Out of the Box encounter posted right here about three and a half years ago. Mike Gould, the writer, remains an invaluable resource for the Nerdarchy community and we were so excited to launch our very first Kickstarter with Mike’s work in the spotlight. We set out to make a hardcover book of our own, and because of the support and encouragement from the RPG community we do so much more. We met all our stretch goals, including several that evolved because of the Kickstarter’s remarkable fundraising. And now the Out of the Box Pledge Manager is live, so backers can complete their surveys and anyone who missed the Kickstarter can make late pledges. This is a perfect opportunity to get your copy of the Out of the Box book, our entire digital library and more at special pricing — not to mention badges for Nerdarchy the Convention in 2020.

Nerdarchy the Convention

So…we’re putting on a convention. The event space is secured, programming is programmed, and a whole bunch of special guests are booked. There’s still a lot of work to do, and more of everything we’ve already planned. But Halloween weekend 2020 our calendars are set. Greater Philadelphia Expo Center will host Nerdarchy the Convention Oct. 30 – Nov. 1, 2020. While we continue to produce new videos, website content and rewards for Patreons, we’ll be just as hard at work bringing Nerdarchy the Convention to life as a safe, fun event for everyone. We hope to see you there.

Complete digital library

Backers and late pledges at certain levels can access our entire digital library. All 27 PDF products currently in the store here on the website are available for these pledge levels to download. We will continue to update this library with any new PDF product we add to the store up until fulfillment of the hardcover Out of the Box book begins. This is over $150 value currently.

These PDFs include new content for Game Masters and players alike, like adventures or encounters, new spells, races, subclasses, feats and magic items. Plus many of them highlight new ways to use existing content like skills, hit dice and more.

We hope you enjoy adding this fresh material to your games and campaign worlds as much as we’ve enjoyed creating and using them for our own!

Free Out of the Box encounter

Keep an eye here on Nerdarchy the Website too, because we’ve got a special announcement regarding Out of the Box coming soon. Spoilers: you’ll be able to get a brand new, 100% free Out of the Box encounter PDF with stunning new art to give you a small preview of what to expect in the book. This encounter was written and designed after the Kickstarter ended. We wanted to share something from the book without spoiling anything in advance, so we just wrote a brand new encounter and we’ll be giving it away here on the website soon.

Out of the Box Pledge Manager

Head over to the Pledge Manager and discover the Out of the Box: Encounters for 5th Edition pledge level that makes the most sense for you. You can find the Pledge Manager here. You’ll have two options to complete your survey and receive your rewards. You can complete the survey anonymously or create an account using the same email that you use on Kickstarter. This is the same page you’ll find your account downloads if you’re entitled to any.

It’s worth mentioning again that costs for the book, badges and add-ons like the customized Nerdarchy dice, art prints and the ArcKnight pack will increase once the Pledge Manager closes. We want to leave it open as long as possible to give people plenty of time to take advantage of the discounted prices, but it has to close at some point.
