Fantasy Weapons for d&d 5e Races | d&d 5e Homebrew

Fantasy Weapons and Equipment for d&d 5e races

So over the years, I have written various bits of lore that pertain to the d&d 5e races as well as several campaigns.

That being said, the part that I see missing from Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition is the specific equipment that each race has at its disposal.

To this end, I did a bit of thinking and propose the following items and racial trait for your campaign. Now one could ask why one would even need or want more choices when choosing a weapon for your character.

The reason is that it adds a depth and flavor to the world, enhances roleplay, and adds mechanics to back the craftsmanship that is spoken of so often in lore.

From fine Elven blades to sturdy Dwarven axes and brutal Orcish weaponry these weapons are famous and iconic when one thinks of these d&d 5th edition races. Continue reading Fantasy Weapons for d&d 5e Races | d&d 5e Homebrew

Episode 70 of Nerdarchy the Podcast Year One

Another look at one of our first look vids. This time we are going over the bard in 5e D&D.

Bard Performing Their Way Through D&D 5E| Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition Classes

5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons Classes Bard Performing Their Way Through D&D 5E

Nerdarchy sits down to discuss yet another class out out of the player’s handbook of D&D 5e. This time we are looking at the bard and how they hold up in 5th edition dungeons and dragons. Bards could very well be the least used class at our table.

I suspect that may begin to change though. The bard in 5e is far different than any iteration of the game to date. It feels like it’s own thing like never before. They are full on spell casters and the best skill monkeys in the game far exceeding what the rogue can do.

They also spells that are unique to them while at the same time they are able to dip into everyone elses spell list. Depending what archetype you go with determines if you’ll be more spell caster like or more fighter like. Bards what you guys think of them?

Episode 67 of Nerdarchy the Podcast Year One

Here is our first druid discussion. It so happens that is during our review of 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons.

Wild shaping with Druids in 5e| Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition Classes

5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons Classes| Wild shaping with Druids in 5e
It’s time to revisit D&D 5e character classes Nerdarchy is discussing each class one by one from the Barbarian to the Wizard and this week we are doing the Druid.

Druids in D&D 5E are really looking to be a fun a class to play. The druid archetypes seem to split the druid’s abilities in half from the previous editions of dungeons and dragons.

You are either going to be really good at wild shaping or more of a spell caster type. One of the key things about the D&D druid of 5th is their innate ability to be tanky after they get wild shape at 2nd level. Even the druid archetype that focuses on more spell casting and getting along in nature is far more tanky then in earlier editions of Dungeons and Dragons.

So what do you guys think about the druid in 5e? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
