Limitless Monsters Kickstarter from Limitless Adventures Unleashes 100 D&D Monsters!

D&D Worldbuilding - Getting Players to Help with RPG Creation

Do you like monsters? Of course you do. Whether you’re a fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons Dungeon Master on the lookout for exciting new creatures to challenge adventurers or a player whose character seeks fame, glory, gold and heroic deeds, monsters are one of the most amazing parts of the game.

Fortunately for you, there’s still time to head over to Kickstarter and back Limitless Monsters – the latest campaign from Limitless Adventures. (Campaign ends on Oct. 28). With two other successful Kickstarters to their credit already, this campaign is already funded with content written in advance to ensure delivery of high-quality material on time.

Limitless Adventures previous two Kickstarters were Limitless Encounters and Limitless NPCs, the latter which we reviewed right here on the Nerdarchy website.

For Limitless Monsters, a pledge at the $15 level nets you a full-color PDF version of the book, with the print version available starting at $25.

Better yet, there are Digital Hoard and Dragon Hoard pledge levels where you can snag copies of every product they’ve released to date – over fifty titles! You can take a look at past Limitless Adventures titles over at DriveThruRPG, too.

Beyond delivering cool new content for your D&D games, Limitless Adventures has a growing community on Facebook where they share ideas, news and behind-the-scenes looks at work on their projects. You can also follow them on Twitter for further news, announcements and more.

From the Limitless Monsters Kickstarter page, here’s a rundown of what the book has to offer:

  • Lore – The players can derive a tactical advantage by using their knowledge skills.

  • Tactics – The DM will get some tips and tricks on using these new monsters to devastating effect.

  • Treasure – You’ll save valuable prep time with pre-rolled treasure.

  • Harvest – Those creatures that don’t normally carry treasure can be harvested for pelts, teeth, horns, and alchemical ingredients.

  • Further Adventure™ Hooks – This book comes with 300 adventure hooks to aid DMs in crafting stories using these monsters.

Prior to writing this book we dissected the current 5E Monster Manual and broke it down by creature type, CR, damage types, effects, etc. in an effort to fill holes and to create monsters from niches we felt were underrepresented. We have over 40 unique illustrations from artist Bartolomeo Argentino and a stunning cover by artist David Auden Nash.
The project is currently over 200% funded and continues to climb ensuring several stretch goals in the near future.  Limitless Monsters is available as a PDF or as a softcover book.

As you can see, you’re getting a lot of monstrous bang for your buck here. Extra touches like the stuff included in Limitless Monsters helps DMs keep the game going and inspires the imagination for new encounters and challenges, plus includes fun player options too. I don’t know about you but in my experience players love picking apart slain monsters for useful or valuable materials.

If you’re looking for some fresh new stuff for your D&D game, or you just like monsters and want to discover a whole bunch of new ones, check out the Limitless Monsters Kickstarter before Oct. 28 and add it to your collection. If you miss the date, keep an eye on DriveThruRPG.
And of course, as always, stay nerdy!
