Kickstarter Korner for May 2018, Week 1

PaizoCon Celebrates Pathfinder, Starfinder and All Things Paizo
Dungeon Crate Unboxing -- April 2018

Each week during the Quests & Adventures live chat, Saturday at 2 p.m. eastern, Nerdarchists Dave and Ted and Nate the Nerdarch hang out live with fans from the Nerdarchy YouTube channel. It’s a chance to share announcements and news, answer questions from the live chat and generally just hang out and talk nerdy with the Nerdarchy community.

In the description of each weekly video, Nerdarchist Ted compiles a list and links to all the videos and website content from the week. But he also shares a selection of cool Kickstarter campaigns. As an avid Kickstarter supporter, he’s happy to share his favorite RPG and gaming-related Kickstarters with you, the Nerdarchy community. Enjoy!

Protip: Our friend and fellow YouTuber Jose Kercado posted a great video recently on how to Tweak PC Classes for Better Roleplaying. In the video he talks about his group transitioning from Basic Fantasy RPG to fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons. One of the characters is a fighter with anger management issues, and they decided to make the character a barbarian in D&D. The character is basically an urbanite with fits of uncontrollable anger. It got him thinking about different ways to reflavor class abilities and features, something we’re fond of quite a bit ourselves over here at Nerdarchy. If you keep the same basic mechanics of an ability, feat, spell or the like, players and Game Masters can bring an exciting uniqueness to their games very easily. A clay golem becomes a marshmall golem, a halfling becomes one of the boppi people, or the wizard’s sleep spell becomes a backpack gas tank filled with knockout gas. Imagining your own special versions of existing stuff is fun, and opens doors to all sorts of fantastic new elements for your games.
