D&D Music and Sound Tracks and Adding Flavor To Your Tabletop Role-Playing Game Experience

D&D Music and Sound Tracks and Adding Flavor To Your Tabletop Role-Playing Game Experience Nerdarchy has had a handful of request for a video on music and sound tracks for the gaming table. As always we like to do viewer request when it comes to our videos. To be honest has been a long tine since we’ve incorporated any music into our table top gaming experience. Years ago we always had a CD player ready to go with music from a sound track of a favorite movie such as Gladiator, Conan the Barbarian, or even Braveheart. Or we might get ourselves pumped up with some heavy metal from bands like Manowar. Music and D&D go together like peanut butter and jelly. Nothing enhances the mood of a RPG like the right music to go with the right encounter. What do you guys use at your table? Music or no Music that is the question? Does anyone have a special playlist as their go to or do you create a different music playlist for every session of your game?

Don’t Get Overrun by The Orcs| Dungeons and Dragons Monsters

Dungeons and Dragons Monsters| Don’t Get Overrun by The Orcs. Of all the D&D monsters out there I’ve always had a special place in my heart for the orc. Orcs are savage, fierce warriors that you just don’t want to piss off, but they can be so much more than that. They are an intelligent monster with their own culture, agendas, and plans. Unfortunately they don’t get the respect they fully deserve in Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, and a lot of other fantasy based RPG’s. This isn’t a tabletop role-playing game issue, it’s a dungeon master issue for the most part. On the plus side it’s easy to fix. When we as game masters can get out of the I need monsters for my players to kill mode and go into story mode things begin to change. Orcs are not just waiting around for a group of adventurers to come along, murder it, and take their stuff. No their living the little orc lives when whatever they are doing and whatever the players are doing bring them into direct contact. If these actions are at odds with one and another then there may be conflict.

My name is Dave Friant I've been gaming off and on for over 27 years. But here is the thing it's always been a part of my life I've kept secret and hidden away. I've always been ashamed of the stigma that gaming and my other nerdy and geeky pursuits summon forth. Recently I decided screw it! This is who I am the world be damned. From now on I'm gonna be a geek, nerd, or however folks want to judge me and just enjoy life. Currently one of my greatest joys is introducing my 13 yr old son to table top RPG's.
