D&D Ranger Beast Master: Beast and Ranger are One

Have you been keeping up with Todd Kenreck’s work as host and content director for D&D Beyond? On top of bringing his skills as a journalist and documentary filmmaker to bear to help tell the story of Dungeons & Dragons, Kenreck’s D&D Beyond video series began sharing previews of some of the new character subclasses in Xanathar’s Guide to Everything. Closer to the release date for the hotly anticipated book, the previews have included additional material too.

D&D Beyond goes inside Xanathar’s Guide to Everything

D&D Beyond Xanathar's Guide to Everything

Who doesn’t want tips and advice from an insane beholder crime lord?

The upcoming book due out on Nov. 21, or Nov. 10 for D&D Beyond and select retailers, is a brand new supplement for fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons featuring options for players and Dungeon Masters. In a style similar to Volo’s Guide to Monsters, the infamous Waterdhavian beholder crime lord The Xanathar will reveal lore, story options and new rules.

Inside the book, D&D players will find new subclasses, spells, racial feats, a random backstory generator, traps, magic items and more. Leading up to the release of Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, D&D Beyond is creating videos to showcase some of the new material in the book.

[EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated on Nov. 2, 2017]: Visit the D&D Beyond You Tube channel to see what’s been previewed. So far, there are videos highlighting 25 new subclasses. There are also preview videos highlighting new Eldritch Invocations for warlocks and new spells for all of the spellcasters in D&D.

At this rate, will be see all the new options before Xanathar’s Guide to Everything is released? I’m sure the book will still contain plenty of surprises:

  • Bard: College of Glamour
  • Druid: Circle of Dreams
  • Fighter: Cavalier
  • Ranger: Horizon Walker
  • Rogue: Inquisitive
  • Cleric: Forge Domain
  • Fighter: Samurai
